Sarah
Patterson

Voice & Piano Instructor

Sarah has been singing for as long as she can remember. After starring in her first musical at 9 years old, she began participating in choir and band, briefly taking up the viola, and began playing piano at 12. Singing is her passion, but piano is a very close second.

Sarah obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Education: Acting from Emerson College in 2018. During her undergraduate studies, she had the incredible opportunity to study abroad at Berklee College of Music’s Valencia, Spain program where she honed her voice and performance skills. She assistant-directed and produced the musical theatre production ‘Ella and Me’ featuring music by Ella Fitzgerald at the Boston Conservatory the following summer. Sarah also had the chance to perform with Emerson College’s a cappella group, Achoired Taste, where she developed a different skillset to compete in a cappella competitions around New England.

Sarah has about 6 years of teaching experience, having taught private piano, voice and musical theatre ensemble classes for Band Gig School of Music as well as English as a Second Language courses for VIPKID Tutoring Services.

Focusing on musical theatre style and jazz standards is a passion for Sarah, but she is always open to learning and performing new genres. She believes that discovering a new ability within yourself is the most uplifting feeling a musician can experience and honing that ability is where the true artist emerges.
