GARAGE POLICIES
1. Payment & Billing
-
A credit or debit card on file is required for all lesson payments.
-
Tuition is automatically processed around the 1st of each month for that month's lessons.
-
New students starting mid-month will be billed a prorated amount for their first month.
-
If payment hasn’t been received for two or more consecutive months, we reserve the right to remove the student from our schedule. During that time period, we’re always happy to work with families to find a solution.
2. Scheduling
-
Lessons are scheduled on the same day and time each week.
-
Our schedule does not follow public school calendars—lessons still occur on school holidays, early dismissals, or closures unless otherwise noted.
-
Visit our website for the most up-to-date lesson calendar and closure dates.
3. Holidays Observed
-
We are closed and you will not be charged for lessons on the following national holidays:
-
New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day
-
Memorial Day
-
Fourth of July
-
Labor Day
-
Thanksgiving Eve & Day
-
Christmas Eve & Day
-
-
If your lesson falls on one of these dates, no makeup is needed.
4. Monthly Variations
-
If a holiday shortens your lesson count to fewer than four lessons in a month, you’ll only be billed for the actual number of scheduled lessons.
-
If your lesson day occurs five times in a month, we will close one of those dates to maintain four total lessons.
5. Attendance & Makeups
-
All scheduled lessons are paid for, whether attended or not.
-
While makeup lessons are not guaranteed, we will make every effort to find an alternate time when possible.
-
Make-up lessons are not guaranteed to be with your primary instructor. JGG believes a variety of perspectives is beneficial to one’s musical growth.
-
Makeup lessons must be scheduled within six months of the original missed lesson. After six months, any unused make-ups will be forfeited.
6. No-Show Policy
-
A no-show (missing a lesson without any prior notice) may result in forfeiture of that lesson.
-
If a student no-shows a scheduled makeup, that lesson may also be forfeited.
7. Emergencies & Rescheduling
-
We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel a lesson for any extenuating circumstances, please contact us via phone or email—we're happy to accommodate.
8. Weather Cancellations
-
If Jack’s Guitar Garage cancels lessons due to inclement weather or unforeseen issues, we will reach out to reschedule, or a credit will be applied to the next month’s invoice.
-
Families will be notified by email, and updates may also be posted to our social media channels.
9. Teacher Absences
-
A substitute teacher will be provided if your primary instructor is unavailable due to illness or scheduling conflicts.
-
If a substitute is not available, we will reach out to reschedule.
10. Communication
-
Please note: Teachers do not handle billing or scheduling.
-
For rescheduling, vacation notices, or account-related questions, speak with a front desk associate or email us directly.
11. Media Release
-
Jack’s Guitar Garage reserves the right to use photos, video, and audio recordings of students for promotional purposes (e.g., website, flyers, social media).
