Eric Yanaway has been teaching in the Marlborough area for the last 15 years. His love of music began in elementary school where he played trombone. Eric continued to play throughout high school in concert, jazz and marching bands. He started a rock band in junior high where he played Bass and by the time he was in high school he played bass for jazz band and pit orchestras. Eric attended Berklee College of Music and after receiving a degree in Music Performance he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music.
Eric moved back to Boston and continues to perform in several local bands. After moving to Marlborough Eric began teaching. He has been teaching at Jack's Guitar Garage for 4 years. He has students learning Bass, Guitar, Piano and Ukulele. Eric enjoys teaching beginners and also loves to teach students who are learning advanced theory and techniques. Because of his experience with different genres and instruments he is able to adapt to what styles of music interests his students while still being able to move them forward musically.
