CLAIRE
FALVO
Piano and Voice Instructor

Claire began piano lessons when she was eight years old. Her passion and love for music came when she realized how rewarding and empowering playing piano was. She began training classically by the time she was 10, and around the same time began learning mallet percussion and singing in various choirs around Pennsylvania.

Claire went on to major in music therapy and psychology at Duquesne University, where she studied both guitar and voice. After completing a six-month music therapy internship and finishing her degree in March of 2020, she began teaching at Jack's Guitar Garage.

Some of Claire's other musical training includes providing accompaniment for other musicians, Duquesne University's Electronic Ensemble and Voices of Spirit traveling choir, a year in the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, and a Junior Recital where she performed pieces by Chopin, J. S. Bach, and Rachmaninoff.

Throughout all of her training, Claire found a great passion for sharing her knowledge of music with the people around her. As an instructor, her goal is to make sure students feel confident on an instrument that they love and find a passion for music they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

FAVORITE TEACHING MOMENT
My favorite teaching moment is when a student of mine accomplishes something that they didn't think they'd be able to do.
