Tempo and rhythm are two of the foundational skills needed to create music for EVERY instrument.  Rhythm Week was started to provide students with the opportunity to learn about tempo, rhythms and time signatures, in a fun, interactive way!

 

Once a year, students come together with our instructors to play different combinations of rhythmic patterns in different styles. Rhythm Week also consists of our unique games as well as promoting musical indepence.

 

Being able to focus on one particular rhythm allows our students to hone their fundamentals.  With rhythms designed for students of ALL levels, everyone will have something to chew on.

 

Because rhythm week is done in an ensemble, students get the added benefit of playing with other musicians. This allows them to see how the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. Parents are always encouraged to join in!  We can’t wait to see you there!
