Rock Band Camp 10am to 1pm $165 per week
Rock Band Camp is a week-long workshop open to all students interested in applying their understanding of music in a fun and interactive “rock and roll” setting. Rock Band Camp occurs during Februrary vacation, and runs in one week sessions several weeks in the summer. You can siign up for one or more sessions.
All instruments and skill levels
Under the direction of Jack and the Garage staff, this program teaches students the art of musicianship within the inner workings of a rock band. Students will explore the key differences between playing a song and performing a song.
At Camp the students become the “Band” and choose the songs they want to play. Popular songs from artists such as Maroon 5, Ozzy, The Beatles and Elvis are used. Next the students learn how break the song down into its various parts and examine each part’s function in the song. Students then consider the style and character of each of their instruments and decide how its sound should be used to create the best possible results. Next they build the song back up and are taught how to rehearse.
The Rock Band Camp Program will teach the student how to communicate with their audience through their music. They will learn how to work together, listen to each other and will be encouraged to express their own creative ideas in a fun informal setting.
Rock Band Camp is a unique and challenging experience for all students and skill levels. A wonderful way for your child to spend his or her free time!
Rock Band Camp is held Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Please check the Garage Calendar for the scheduled weeks. If you need further information call or email the Garage.
